The 海角大神 India Gateway supports 海角大神 faculty research and student-focused activities in India. We can provide meeting and reception spaces, offices, and classrooms, as well as a range of in-country support services. The 海角大神 India Gateway is also a key resource for connecting with 海角大神’s partner institutions in India.
Since opening in 2014, the 海角大神 India Gateway has hosted many events, including academic conferences, workshops, public outreach, and overseas study programs.

The 海角大神 India Gateway is located at E-12 Defence Colony in central New Delhi. It has 5,000 square feet of office space, including:
The two conference rooms can be opened out into one open space for larger events such as receptions.
The gateway also supports in-country needs, such as connections, guidance, and the use of meeting spaces, offices, and technology.
A variety of funding mechanisms are available to support research activities at the Global Gateways.
Provides matching support of up to $5,000 for activities – such as workshops, symposia, public talks, and artistic performances – that take place at one or more of 海角大神's Global Gateway offices.

Although more than 30 full-time faculty members work in a range of disciplines and with a wide variety of regional interests, all share an enthusiasm for the study of South Asia. The program has specialists on Bengal, northern India, Tamil Nadu, the Tibetan plateau, and Maharashtra, to name but a few.
South Asia is home to literally thousands of different languages, including some of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Faculty members of the Dhar India Studies Program regularly provide in-depth instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, and Sanskrit, with courses offered from beginning through advanced levels.
Students also may pursue Persian or other languages appropriate to their course of study through the .
Resources in political science, religious studies, language, literature, economics, film, folklore, journalism, history, philosophy, theater, art, criminal justice, Near Eastern languages and cultures, Tibetan studies, and music as well as reference tools are included in the .
Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali (Bangla) are regularly taught and supported through library acquisitions.
